What Is Bulk Cargo?
Bulk Cargo refers to the transportation of loose, unpackaged goods in large quantities. This is typically done via specialized vessels, railcars, or trucks and is categorized into two major types:
- Dry Bulk Cargo: Commodities such as grains, coal, cement, ores, minerals, fertilizers, salt, and biomass..
- Liquid Bulk Cargo: Includes petroleum products, chemicals, liquefied gases, edible oils, molasses, and industrial liquids.
These materials are transported in bulk carriers, tankers, or hopper railcars, depending on the commodity, volume, and logistical requirements.
